New works

Here is my finished painting of Jessica from last month and my new drawing for this months painting. I'm transferring this weekend, ready to start painting on Tuesday.

I am also starting some new sculpture projects, photos coming soon.

Back to the grind at GCA.

Here is one of the two paintings I am painting this month at GCA. Hope to get the other one up soon.

It is hard to tell from the photo but the portrait, neck, and chest are final pass, rest still ebauche. More photos to come.

Asheville drawing workshop

We were lucky to have our gorgeous model Elizabeth Guibert Thomas to draw from. One of the kindest and best models I've had in a long time. Thank you again Elizabeth!

Fine art league of the carolinas

I am teaching a portrait drawing class this week at the Fine Art League of the Carolinas. The studio is amazing, and the students are eager to learn. Only three days in and everyone is doing a great portrait of our wonderful model Elizabeth. I am having a great time, as always, here in Asheville. More pictures to come on Friday.

I had a great time making a quick little still-life for Sarah Lamb's workshop last week. She's a great painter who came into New York to teach at GCA even thou she is 7+ months pregnant. Here is my painting of plums and white flowers.
